Comic Sans Pro
- Type Design
Comic Sans was designed by Vincent Connare.
Microsoft released Office 2010 with the addition of OpenType feature support. During the beta period of this new software, the most popular Office fonts were expanded by Ascender Corporation to include OpenType features. For Comic Sans, we started by added italics to fill out the incomplete family. We added small capitals, swashes, and Old Style figures. Finally, we added stylistic alternates for a legible two story ‘a’ and ‘g’. The ornaments, including a set of styled bullets is icing on the cake. Hopefully, this expanded version of the design has less to hate.
