Iron Pour poster

Sculptors melt solid iron with huge, hand made furnaces called cupolas which are fueled with coke. When the iron is molten, it is then poured through a spigot at the bottom into a mold. This event is so labor intensive and requires so much fuel, that it's a very special occasion when it does happen. I illustrated this poster for such an 'iron pour' event when I was a student at GVSU. What a blast it was to draw this! Pun intended. The cupola depicted was created with an old trash can, aptly named Oscar.
