This design has been redrawn four times. It has been a learning process to continually refine and change the shapes starting with some crude drawings in 2006. This presentation shows merely one snapshot from its life. South Wacker features wedged slab serifs with low contrast and a comfortably large x-height. It has some awkward design features that add to its blue-collar charm.
