Hi, I’m Terrance.
I'm a Type Designer working with Monotype, and I've been exclusively designing typefaces and lettering since 2008. I'm focused on custom design projects for Monotype's clients. Along with the font development team at Monotype, I've worked on fonts for Microsoft, Google, and Barnes & Noble, as well as various design firms, ad agencies, and publishers. Besides typography, I like gadgets, video games, and dreaming about the future.
I've had the honor to contribute to the ubiquitous Open Sans and Segoe UI, among many others. I have a handful of revival typefaces available like Romany, JMC Engraver and Feldman Engraver. I've spoken to audiences at TypeCon, AIGA, and the Game Developers Conference about type design and typography.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Art degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design from Grand Valley State University. I like to continue my education, and refresh my interest in type by attending conferences and workshops. I attended the Type Design short course at the University of Reading in 2013, where I focused on Greek and Cyrillic.
